Physio and occupational therapy for adults

Physio and occupational therapy in your home

Now you can benefit from the experience and expertise of the very best therapists, in the comfort of your own home, and often for no more than it would cost to visit one at their clinic.

Exercise programs and equipment are tailored to your home environment. Treatments can be based on daily tasks, so be more meaningful to you, plus we can see the problems you are facing first hand.

Our whole focus is on you remaining as independent as possible making staying in your home more of a reality.

"Kelly has come to my house, made me feel at ease and helped me gain the confidence and skills to regain critical life skills after my stroke."

Anthony,  Adelaide Hills

The right care when you need it

Within days of your first enquiry our therapist will visit you at home to discuss and prepare a care plan that will explain exactly what your course of treatment will consist of.

If appropriate, this will also include suggested exercises you can do on your own, and guidance for your family on your care requirements between our visits.

This first visit will also include the first treatment in your plan - we want to start bringing you relief as soon as we can.

If your therapist thinks it would help you, they will also recommend that one of our other therapists speak to you. Our occupational therapist, for example can help with recommending equipment and devices to help you with daily tasks like having a shower or getting dressed, as well as suggesting ways to make your home environment safer and more accessible.

We can even supply an experienced and friendly trades person who can come and fit equipment for you.

All of our therapists are chosen for their empathy, patience, understanding, and excellent communication with a friendly approach . They have a genuine interest in your progress and well being.

Our one aim is to restore your mobility and aid your recovery, giving you back the active life you had before. We will do everything in our power to ensure this happens as quickly as possible.

We visit you at home - wherever home is

If you are a resident in a retirement village or care home we can still help you. In fact we already visit residents in many of the care homes throughout the area so it’s possible we are helping one of your friends.

While we mostly cover the Adelaide Hills we also have patients in many of the regional townships and more remote areas.

" I would recommend Kelly to anyone requiring intensive physiotherapy at home. "

You don’t have to be elderly to need our help

Part of your health care team

Our patients are as young as 2 weeks or 90 years and anything in between. Physiotherapy and occupational therapy can assist both the physical and mental development of children.

Injuries from falls or accidents can occur to anyone at any age, and of course the right treatments can ensure you stay active and able to look after yourself, in your own home, for as long as possible.

While you don’t need a referral from your doctor for us to see you (unless you are a DVA client) many of our patients come to us that way.

Either way we will be in constant communication with your doctor to ensure they are aware of the treatment you are receiving from us, and the progress you are making.

A reputation built on expertise and experience

Funding options for your treatment

We have built our reputation by specialising in the treatment of a specific range of conditions. Broadly speaking our patients come to us for treatment of one of the following:

Neurological including strokes, brain injury, Parkinsons disease, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome and motor neuron disease.

Physical injury as a result of falls, fractures or accidents.

Chronic conditions such as heart disease, chronic obstructive airways disease, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Recovery following surgery such as total hip or knee replacements.

Funding can be available to you through your GP. For example, if you have a condition which is considered to be chronic you may be eligible for up to 6 sessions of physio and podiatry a year.

If you are a DVA card holder, depending on the type of card you hold, you could have access to unlimited physiotherapy for as long as it is clincally indicated.

If you would like more information about these funding options or to find out if they may apply to you, please ask your GP to send us a referral. Alternatively call us and we will explain, and help you work, through the process.
